MUST Ministry Drive
The Pope High School Thespian Troupe #4448 is once again participating in Trick or Treat So Kids Can Eat, a national community service program for International Thespian Society (ITS) member schools to collect canned and dry goods for local charities and food banks. All donations will go to benefit MUST Ministries Food Bank. Thousands of pounds of food will be collected in one night across the state, giving organizations the ability to help thousands of local people. The Pope High School Drama club has collected can goods in the Dorset subdivision the past two years. We would like your permissions to collect food items again this year. The students from Pope would go through the neighborhood the weekend before Halloween (October 22 & 23) and leave a large brown paper bag at each house with a flyer attached explaining what to do. On Halloween (Monday October 31, the students would come by dressed in costumes to collect the bags of canned goods that are left outside by 5 p.m. This will provide sufficient time to avoid the neighborhood foot traffic for Halloween. The Pope Theater also puts on their annual Haunted Theater production. Attendees who buy a ticket for $5 and bring a 5 lb. bag of food get a second ticket free!
