As many of you know the construction at Pope High School has reduced the number of parking spaces available for students this year. We wanted you to know that Pope approached us about renting spaces in our lot and after careful consideration we voted against the idea. In the end, there was no revenue opportunity, and more importantly the board felt very strongly that the potential problems that might arise trying to manage students on our property would outweigh a good faith gesture to the school. The board acts on behalf of our collective community and we didn’t think opening the lot to students was something that most of our neighbors would want.
